Activities for Active Women

  1. Go for a run in a place you wouldn’t usually do so. Instead of running around the neighborhood or at the park, some women like to run at the beach while on vacation, or in the mountains when visiting family. Why not try running a bridge? San Francisco and New York both seem to be cliche choices, but how can you beat running across these iconic structures? If running isn’t quite your style but bridge exploration still sounds fun, try a guided bike tour across the Golden Gate in San Francisco. It even comes with a boat ride on the way back to see the views from below.
  2. Why not try white water rafting? There are many places to experience this exciting activity for adrenaline junkies. The Grand Canyon offers this as an option and provides participants with a completely unique perspective when it comes to taking in this amazing natural formation.  Another option is to participate in a unique rodeo rafting trip at the U.S. National Whitewater Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
  3. Are you up for a wild cave tour? There are plenty of places all over the country that offer individuals the chance to go up close and personal to see all kinds of caves and rock formations in 2-4 hour tours. What classifies a cave as wild? There are no lights, paved pathways, or handrails of any kind. You’ve gotta be up for climbing, crawling, and even army crawling your way through all kinds of cracks and crevices.
  4. Sure you may have gone surfing before, but have you ever gone kite surfing? This adventurous sport combines aspects of skateboarding, gymnastics, surfing, snowboarding, and paragliding. It’s more than 2 thrills for the price of one. If you’re an athletic person with a penchant for the daring, enroll in a kitesurfing school. Let your adventurous spirit take you to new heights. Literally.
